The ones i like

Today I shot some I like and some that will never be seen again, well never again after they are printed in tomorrow's paper.

These are the seniors on Selinsgrove's field hockey team they are headed to the state semi-final game tomorrow good luck...

Eva turned 100 today she is in great shape but her legs are getting a little tired so she said she has to use a cane.

A day on the Street

Today was a walk randomly up to people day. First I was asked to get pics of people smoking not many in this world I think would agree to that especially for the paper. This guy was nice and I actually like how it turned out he spends most of his day hanging out infront of his place with friends watching the world go by. Those friends are the ones who convinced him to let me take his pic so I owe them a huge THANKS.

Next I was sent up to a neighboring town to take pics of people feeding the meter because the town isn't going to bag the meters for the holidays, they are going to provide tokens to the businesses to hand out to customers, so they are still going to have to feed the meter. I figured since it was going to be a generic shot i would get creative and sneak a east coast sunset in the shot.
By the way she and I were then headed to the same spot the yarn store "Mad About Ewes".

David's Awsome Cookies

This guy is 15 and started selling these cookies to Penn State fans on their way to home games now he makes 300 dozen a weekend for fans and regular customers.

On trial for a double murder, past photo ops he has spit on the videographer and photographers they usually have him hooded but he was in a better mood today.

Monty Python

Yesterday was the 40th birthday of the comedy group and so we of course did the story to run the day after, today, not the day of, yesterday. Oh well. But this guy edited and contributed to a book "Monty Python and Philosophy", he was really iteresting and I wanted to stick around for the interview 1) to get information for the cut line 2) get ideas for a more interesting portrait and 3) it was going to be interesting!!!! but the new reporter that should remain nameless pretty much kicked me out very rudely (i actually exclaimed "OH!") the man and his wife looked at her like she was crazy, for other reasons as well but that's a longer story. As the wife walked me to the door she gave me a look that was a combination of sorry and don't leave us alone with her.
I should have told her to bug off that I was staying but I was so caught off gaurd that I just left and only had this very typical portrait. The letter at the beginning of the book is from the office of the Queen of England, a response to their letter offering her the opportunity to be a part of their project.

Shooting through the Fence

I really don't like shooting through chain linked fences it messes with my focus at all the wrong times. There match was close and long 9-1130 a.m. I new they would be emotional after the end either way so I was following them to get the shot. (it is one of my new goals to shoot more than just the "action" at sport events). Stupid fence.


Hummm? It is all kinds of not in focus but I wonder how it will reproduce on the blury newspaper?

David Burns part 1

The first in what I hope is going to a photo story following David through his third time with Leukemia, he heads to Pittsburg in a couple weeks to see if he qualifies for a third marrow transplant.
