Hey man, don't forget about chasing the regular light when you're using fill.

Sometimes when I use fill, I forget about looking for the light. Like if I see a really cool dramatic backlit thing or single light source that makes awesome shadows, instead of using that sweet light, I get frustrated with how much I have to fill it to make it expose "correctly" when it would've looked better all along if I had just been looking for interesting stuff. If that makes any sense at all.
The only guys that have ever really encouraged me to use fill flash are the PR guys I work for. The journalists I know all say put it away.
I realize now that this is a long winded way of saying fill flash i good, but don't let it stop you from thinking about the light that's already there.
